Another highlight of the journey is a visit to the Bokalia Church, the first church in Africa; amble through the grave yards of Saint Markos and the Apostles and wander at the classical heritage of the Greek poet Cavafy, as you tour his house, which was turned into a museum in Alexandria. You’ll also immerse yourself into the historic streets of Alexandria on the way to the Greek Church and Saint Catherine’s Cathedral, the burial place of the last Italian king, Victor Emmanuel.
